Siwa began her dancing career as a member of the troupe Bahar, with which she earned her first two titles, as 1st Runner Up and then as the Winner of the Belly Dance Troupe of the Year at the Belly Dancer of the Year Contest.
Siwa next turned her talents to teaching and, eventually, to leading a new group of dancers as the troupe Dancers of the Crescent Moon (DCM).
